For our Summer Term topic of Volcanoes, we have been learning about the structure of a volcano and how they erupt. We designed our own volcanoes in groups by using bottles, newspaper, tissue paper and paint. We then used a mixture of vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, water and washing up liquid to build up pressure and erupt. It was amazing fun, especially when the vinegar bottle lid flew off and Mrs Stock got covered!
