Design process: think, make, break, repeat.
Designers follow a process to develop and make a product. First in the design process is thinking; this is where designers develop a product outline. To do this, they think about the product, its purpose, the intended users, ideas and inspiration from existing products, the product’s features, the materials and techniques they will use.
In Spring Term, we are practising the design process (thinking) by completing our own product outline for a type of bread. We will look at a range of different types of breads, including textures, processes and flavours. We will then design our own bread and decide on which techniques will work best and what flavours to use.
