WALA: Cinquains.

This week in English the children have been learning all about writing Cinquains. It is a poem that uses syllables in a pattern of 2,4,6,8,2 and is written in the shape of a diamond. The children have worked together to write poems on whiteboards in pairs and then into their books independently. They have then performed their poem. Watch the videos below of their poetry readings.

The children listened as Dermot talked about his new book and then got the chance to follow along with the illustrator and draw Toto! Have a look at some of their amazing drawings below.
