In Science, our topic this half term is 'Sound'. We had fun exploring the best materials to use to make ear defenders. Our conclusion was that soft, thick materials are the best sound insulators because they are full of air pockets which cause the sound waves to bounce around inside and prevent them from travelling through easily.
