Spring term

Design & Technology - Pyramid Mazes

The children have been working hard to create their own pyramid mazes. They have carefully measured lengths of wood, before sawing these to size and gluing them to a base. They then coloured and built a 3D pyramid using a net design to go on the top of their secret maze. Great work Robins - have fun playing with these at home!

World Book Day

The children have had a wonderful day dressing up as their favourite characters from books they had read. We have spent the day sharing our favourite books and writing our own acrostic poems related to these stories.

Ancient Egyptian Day

This term, the children have been learning lots about the Ancient Egyptians and have been excited to take part in our theme day. We had great fun dressing up as Ancient Egyptians and thoroughly enjoyed our workshop from History off the Page. The children learnt lots about Tutankhamun and recreated a number of artefacts likely to be found inside his tomb including a plaque, a fan, a shabti doll, a cartouche and mummified a peg.

Thank you to FOWC for funding the day for us.

Art Solutions

The children have had a whale of a time working together as part of a team to create some incredible pieces of artwork that have been displayed within the newly refurbished library and the lunch hall. The children took great pride in their work and supported each other to develop the necessary techniques to create 'pebbles' and successfully layer a range of materials.

A huge thank you to all that donated your time, newspapers and material to enable the children create this beautiful artwork.
