Cheerleading club is run by Miss Stead and Miss Drury for Year 5 and 6. This takes place on a Tuesday after school from 3:15-4:15 pm. In cheerleading club we work on a range of skills including gymnastics/ tumbling, stunts, jumps and dance. We then put these skills together to make a fun routine. We perform this routine at school events throughout the year and even go to local competitions!
Fitness Club is run by Mrs Stock and Miss Stead on Tuesdays at 3.15pm until 4.15pm. The club is available to all children from Year 3 - Year 6 and is a great opportunity to develop strength, agility and pace when exercising. Over the course of the weeks, children will explore a variety of exercises including Circuit Training, running intervals and practising skills and tactics from a number of different sports. The club is a fun way for children to build on their sporting ability and push themselves to achieve new fitness goals.
The girls' football club is run by Mr Pryke (Level 1 FA coaching) and Miss Lomas. The girls from Year 5 and 6 will develop their skills, fitness and more importantly, their enjoyment of the game over a series of weeks. As the Spring Term commences there will be opportunities for many of them to represent the school in a local league as well as mini tournaments.
The football team is run by Mr Hopgood and Mr Pruce for Year 5 and 6 and is pre-selected following trials. Taking place on a Tuesday after school between 3:15 and 4:15 pm, we complete a range of drills and activities that work on a variety of skills. Throughout the year there are inter-school tournaments where the boys are selected on merit from their performances, effort and teamwork during training sessions. Later on in the year, there will be some league games for the boys to compete in and represent White Court.
