Week 6, we painted our clay candle holders, they all look so impressive! In science we caught 'Burglar Bill' with our security light and alarm systems.
Week 5, we have continued to explore and investigate circuits and the affects of adding more bulbs/cells to a circuit. With our findings we concluded how residence can help protect their home from 'Burglar Bill.'
Week 4, we had our parent event. We dropped 'bombs' on our shelter - two eggs survived the attack!!! we also showcased our amazing dancing and recorder playing! pat on the back Racoons!
Week 3, we started our shelters in preparation for our parent event. We have all worked collaboratively together and have produced some very strong shelters. We have now started our Electricity unit and we explored adding different components to our circuits.
Week 2, WW2 day was a blast! We went back to October 1940 and spent the morning as evacuees in a new classroom. Then, we went shopping in the afternoon. We took turns as shopkeepers and shoppers and how ration books would be used. We even got to enjoy an iced bun, spam sandwich and a drink in the 1940s cafe.
Week 1, we explored bridges and how arches can reinforce the strength of the structure. We will apply our knowledge when we plan, design and make our Andersons shelters over the coming weeks. Will our eggs survive? We also learnt the poem 'Flanders Field' and recreated our own versions of the WW1 poem.
