Week 8- The children loved being outside for PE today and they created their own obstacle courses.
Week 7- This week the children have participated in decorating and learning a new technique called "Pebbling" during Art. The children tried really hard with their Year 3 partner and they loved sharing what they were creating. Well done Tigers. A brilliant PE lesson this week consolidating their learning of jumping, skipping and running. The children really enjoyed the Phonics event with their parents!
Week 6- The children have enjoyed participating in a Science experiment where they needed to use their sense of Touch to feel and describe what was hidden in the bag. The children were introduced to new vocabulary such as rough, soft, smooth and cold. Well done Tigers.
Week 5- The children in PE this week had to find different methods of jumping over hurdles, for example, hopping, skipping and sideways jump. The children were taught to land on 2 feet. During Music, the children have focused on beats/rhythm and we challenged the children to clap the syllables in their name! During History this week, the children have been looking at how toys have changed by the past to now. In Design and Technology the children have been practising their colouring, cutting and gluing skills. The children then verbally evaluated their creations.Well done Tigers.
Week 4- The children have really enjoyed Computing this term. They have started trying to find the space bar, backspace, enter and typing their name.
Week 3- The children have enjoyed the continuous provision activities. In Science, the children are learning about the 5 senses- one of them being sight. The children enjoyed going on a school 'sight' hunt and saw loads.
Week 2- In Week 2 the children learnt some basic first aid skills and learnt what to do in an Emergency. They were able to practice dialing '999'.

Well done for a great First Week in Tiger Class. The children have enjoyed settling into Year 1.
