RE

In RE, we had a special visitor. The class enjoyed a talk from Sheena visiting from Empower. She was here to introduce and kick off our new topic. “Where Do Religious beliefs come from?” She shared her own experience with the church, shared all different kinds of bibles and shared a physical story of the bible origins.

DT

In Design Technology we began a new unit! We are going to be designing and cooking our own soups! This week we began investigating flavours and textures by trying different kinds of soups. We thought about the fruits and vegetables found within the soups and considered whether we would want them within our own creations.

PE

Working hard this week and listening to Coach during our PE gymnastics session.

We were writing Haiku Poems in English this week.

Haiku" is a traditional form of Japanese poetry.  Haiku poems consist of 3 lines.  The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables.  The lines rarely rhyme.

Our poems were based on ‘Autumn’. We went outside to Masie’s Garden to explore nature and feel inspired to gather our vocabulary.
