What a busy week! This week we recreated the rock cycle using Starbursts, we used them to create Igneous, Sedimentary and Metamorphic Rock. We learnt some songs to help us remember information about these.
On Friday we had a visit from a working Geologist. Rosina works as an Environmental Geologist and investigates how strong the land is before it can be used for buildings or roads. She also takes samples to check that land is not contaminated. She told us about some of the places she has investigated and about the safety equipment she has to use. We enjoyed trying on her hard hat and Hi-viz vest. We are holding her geological hammer.
