Week 5: This week the children learned all about Barbara Hepworth and her sculptures, 'The Family of Man' they children then thought about what family meant to them and we went to forest school to build our own family sculptures.
We also had a special TOPS Time celebration and enjoyed the inflatables for the afternoon. Lots of bouncing and laughter!!
Week 4: SATS!! At the beginning of the week, we revised some Maths incorporating PE challenges along the way to make it more fun. After the children worked so had during the exams, we took them for a picnic to the Discovery Centre', the children absolutely loved playing football as a year group on the football pitches. When we got back to school, the children were treated to a lovely refreshing ice-cream. What a week!
In week 3, the children revised angles by looking at missing angle questions taped onto the tables; they worked so sensibly in their pairs. In PSHE, the children looked at power and control, they discussed different scenarios and, in role, the teacher walked down their 'corridor' and they gave explained how she had lost her 'power' and advice to get it back. Finally the children revised some Maths, so we gave them a hot chocolate with whipped cream to enjoy whilst working hard.
In week 2, we had our Parent Vs Child quiz and we are pleased to announce the children won! We thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and want to thank all the parents who attended.
In week 1, we began our revision afternoons. 1 session we revised our GPS knowledge; to make it fun, we had a 'snowball fight' in class and used the snowballs to generate points when we got questions correct.
