Spring 2

Week 6: We have had the most amazing experience called Wonderdome visit our school this morning. All the children were so engaged and loved visiting and learning new facts about Space. During PE the children loved using the racket to hit the ball to their peers. The children also created their wraps which they had planned in their DT lesson! We went to the Church to listen to why Christians celebrate Easter and the children loved this.

Skipping Day 28.03.25

Week 5- The children enjoyed PE this afternoon where they were practising hitting the ball with their racket to their partner. They enjoyed this by playing games, observing and practising their own skills. We have been looking at how heavy and light objects in Forest School and choosing objects to measure and compare.

Week 4- The children have enjoyed going to Boydells Farm. They experienced travelling on a bus, learning about different animals and loved feeding and holding them. Our class favourite was Mootilda! The children have also really enjoyed participating in the Take One Piece which was Snowstorm by JMW Turner where they created some descriptive writing using their senses.

Week 3: The children loved this week's PE lesson where they were introduced to rackets and had to balance balls on top of these! In DT this week, we have practised grating, slicing, cutting, peeling and spreading practically.

Week 2: This week for Science the children have looked at different seasonal changes using the Forest School. The children were challenged to create a den for animals who would be preparing to hibernate at the end of Autumn. In PE this afternoon, we practised net and wall games which the children loved in the sunshine! Within maths this week, the children have been partitioning tens and ones practically using base tens.

Week 1: This week the children have been practising and developing their ball skills. The children loved playing the mirror game where they had to copy each other and score points using a ball. They have developed their starting position. The children in English have enjoyed retelling the story of Farmer Duck to each other.
