Friday 20th

07:10  A good night’s sleep, for them.
This morning will be no less than carnage. Disowned clothes, bags appearing from nowhere at the last minute, repeated instructions not followed, blank looks from the children (and staff), but we will get there.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Continental breakfast to come!

08:40 Not continental. Today is American pancakes, syrup, mixed berry compote, cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurt and juice.

Final activities soon underway!

09:30 Packing done!

Credit where credit is due. That was relatively painless. Although we have more bags than when we came. They’ve learnt that folded clothes take up a lot less room than clothes screwed up into a ball.

Off to our last activity:

In charge of which way the boat is going...

Group 2 off road biking:

Group 3 and 5 crabbing:

Groups 7 & 8 building their rafts:

Group 6 crabbing:

Groups 1 and 4 have been down at the beach flying kites:

13:00 That’s all folks!
It has been an outstanding week with all kinds of fears overcome. The children have participated enthusiastically all week and the centre have commented on how well behaved and polite the children are.

In case you didn’t see the email sent earlier today:

Please pick up your children from the year 6 classrooms at the normal time.
Their  suitcases will be around the year 6 block, they will know where they are.
I will be on a table in the playground by the car park side of the building with all the medication to give back to parents so please come to collect that.
They will be tired so please bear that in mind when you pick them up. They may not want to talk about much yet until they’ve had a good sleep! Equally they may not stop talking, good luck!
See you all soon!

Signing out for one last time!
Mr Pryke
