Please see below for a list of activities you can try for the afternoon on No Screen Wednesday (24th Feb)

Foundation stage:

PE - Make up a dance to your favourite song and perform it for your family.

Science - A range of fun experiments for you to try below...

DEAR - Drop Everything And Read.  Find a book at home, it may be one you have read or it may belong to someone else (ask permission!) and enjoy the book!

Key stage 1 (Years 1 and 2):

PE - Practice a skill ie press ups, hopping, plank, skipping and see how many times you can do them in 1 minute. Can you beat your score?

Science - A range of fun experiments for you to try below...

DEAR - Drop Everything And Read.  Find a book at home, it may be one you have read or it may belong to someone else (ask permission!) and read for at least 20 minutes.

Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6):

DT - Make a bird feeder (see 3 sheets below)

DT part 2 - Paper airplanes. Make a variety of paper airplanes using the instructions below and draw up a table to show which one stayed in the air the longest and which one went the furthest. Can you explain why those ones won? They all use the same size piece of paper so which variables make the difference. 

Science - 3 experiments you can do at home (see sheets below). 

Maths - Get practising your times tables using the sheet below.  The better you are at your times tables, the better and quicker you will be at all other Maths! No competition, no one watching, just a chance for you to get better, so give it a go!

With all of the practical activities, please make sure you have your parents permission first.
