I hope that you have all enjoyed yet another beautiful weekend! The weather has been lovely! As many of you know, I was due to be running the London Marathon this year, which has now been postponed until October. The original date that it was due to take place was today. I decided that I was going to run my own solo marathon, but instead of it being in London, I would take in the sights of sunny Braintree instead! I spent some time earlier this week, planning my marathon route (26.2 miles) and set my alarm bright and early this morning. Prior to the London Marathon being postponed, I had been training hard and my fitness levels were good. I still kept up a bit of running after the announcement that it was going to be postponed, but had slowed down a bit with my training schedule and was doing much shorter runs (so today was a bit of a shock to the system!) I set off at 7am to try and avoid the heat, as I knew it was going to be warm today. My route was lovely and scenic and very peaceful. There was hardly anyone about!
Here are a few photos and videos from today...
I've had a very lazy afternoon since returning home and am hoping not to be too achy tomorrow morning!
Miss Smithson and I will be phoning children this week to check in and catch up with you all, so I'm looking forward to speaking to some of you on the phone!
Speak to you soon,
Miss Swan x
