Mrs Collins' Diary

Thursday 9th July

Hi Class 4C! How are you? I hope you are having a good week completing the Year 5 activities.

Here is my latest puzzle which I have completed. Can you name the famous landmark that you can see in it?

If you haven't sent me a photo and would like to, please do so by Monday 13th July.

Have a good day,

Mrs Collins

Monday 6th July

Good morning 4C. I hope you had a good weekend. I had a lovely walk yesterday. I saw lots of ducks and some ducklings. In the distance, I could even see the sea!

I hope you have a great week completing the Year 5 activities.

From Mrs Collins

Friday 3rd July

Good afternoon Class 4C. It was lovely to see you on Zoom yesterday. I enjoyed hearing about what you have done, your Year 4 memories and your quiz questions. I learnt some new facts!

Next week starts the transition to Year 5 and there will be some tasks for you to do from the Year 5 team. Look on the Class Pages section on the website to find them. Also Mr Hopgood will be phoning you to say Hi and you will be invited to a Zoom chat with him, week beginning 13th July.

I am so proud of all of you and miss you. Please feel free to keep emailing me on Purple Mash and sharing anything you have been doing.

Have a good weekend,

Mrs Collins

Thursday 2nd July

Good morning, how are you? I am fine and had a good day in school yesterday. We took part in some of the Sports Day activities. Did you do any at home? We also did some drawing and had to follow instructions for how to draw an owl. Here is my drawing:

You can follow the instructions on a You Tube video 'Draw with Rob'.

In the evening, I went for a walk. My sister is doing the 'One Million Step' challenge so I wanted to walk to support her.

One of the views from my walk.

This morning, I checked on the plants in my garden, as I hadn't been in the garden for a couple of days. Look at this beautiful rose.

The bird you can see is an ornament, not a real one.

Remember today is our Zoom chat at 2pm. Links for the meeting were sent to you on Parent Pay. Make sure your name is clear so that Mrs Burrell will let you in.

Looking forward to chatting to you later,

Mrs Collins

Tuesday 30th June

Good morning Class 4C. How are you? I hope you had a good day yesterday. I did some online learning  which was interesting. I have learnt some new Circle time games and also about using online resources to help with learning for September. In the evening, I have been sorting through some photos, getting them ready to print. So many happy memories and it was great to see how my nephews and nieces have changed over the last year or so.

Here is the picture of the puzzle which I have completed. Did you guess any of the items which might have been in Merlin's laboratory?

Have you completed your Review of the Year yet? Thank you to Samuel for his power point. I liked finding out about what he had liked to do and learnt. Thank you for your poem Lily-Mai and your poster Lauren S.

Here is my artwork which is on Thursday's plan. Remember you can do the activities anytime during the week.

Have a good day and I am looking forward to seeing you on Thursday,

Mrs Collins

Monday 29th June

Good morning Class 4C. How are you? I hope you had a good weekend. Happy Birthday to Robyn! Hope you had a good day yesterday. I had a good weekend. During the weekend, I completed another puzzle. This one was called 'Merlin's Laboratory'. It is a wizard/magician themed puzzle. What do you think will be included? I will show you a photo tomorrow.

So on Thursday at 2pm, we will be having our Zoom chat. You should have received an invite via Parent Pay. Please look at the newsletter which was sent on Friday, to see the requirements for the chat. Remember we need to be able to identify you before we can admit you to the meeting. Please contact the school office or email me on Purple Mash, if you have any queries about this. I am looking forward to seeing you.

Have a good day,

Mrs Collins

Friday 26th June

Good morning Class 4C. How are you all? Thank you for my emails and it has been lovely to talk to some of you this week. Most of you know that Mr Hopgood is going to be your Year 5 teacher and today you will find out your class name. In September, all of the classes are going to be named after animals. I wonder what you will be.

Over the next three weeks, the Home Learning tasks are going to change. On the website, there is going to be some tasks reviewing the year and then you will have some from the Year 5 team to get to know you. I am very proud of all of you and look forward to seeing what you have enjoyed and learnt.

Well, it has been very hot this week. On Wednesday evening I had my tea sitting in the garden. We had fish and chips and ate them out the box! They were delicious! Have you been out in the sunshine? Remember to keep safe in the sun!

I hope you have a good weekend,

Mrs Collins

Wednesday 24th June

Good morning everyone. How are you?

I am fine and enjoyed taking part in a video call this morning with lots of the staff from school. It was lovely to see them and hear about what they have been doing in school and at home. Have you been in contact with any of your friends recently? Have you seen them, emailed them or spoken to them?

Today's P.E. challenge is: What's your juggling skills like? Can you juggle? If not, why not have a go. Think about how you feel before starting the task, during and afterwards. Remember to persevere and try your best. Do you remember in class when we talked about the Reflect Ed statements and colours? Red - not feeling confident, Yellow - feeling OK but might need some help, Green - feeling confident and Blue - I can coach. Which statement applies to you and juggling?

Have a go and let me know how you get on.

Have a good day and stay safe in the sunshine,

Mrs Collins

Tuesday 23rd June

Hi all, how are you? I hope you had a good day yesterday. Thank you for my emails Alfie and Toby. Well done Alfie on your animal shelter. It looks great! It sounded like Toby is having fun on Roblox.

Today's PE challenge is Volleyball for All. Check out the Active Essex for ideas and an explanation. Let me know how you get on.

Have a good day and enjoy the sunshine.

Mrs Collins

Monday 22nd June

Morning Class 4C. How are you? I am fine and had a good weekend. I spent some time in my garden, spoke to and saw my family, read my book and started a new puzzle. I did a quiz on Saturday evening and we had to list 10 things for each round. For example, the 10 most common garden birds, 10 countries with tan in the their name, the 10 fastest land mammals, the 10 longest motorways in the UK and the 10 last places on a Monopoly board. I wonder how many can you name.

This week, is National Sports Week. Have a look at the website and try some of the activities.

https://www.activeessex.org/news/national-school-sport-week-at-home-2020/

Today's challenge is: Parents v Kids football challenge. Have a go and let me know on Purple Mash. Also have a look at the PE section on the school website and Home Learning.

Have a good week,

Mrs Collins

Friday 19th June

Good morning Class 4C. I can not believe it is Friday again. How has your week been? In the day, I have been doing lots of school tasks and having meetings with Mrs Burrell and the teachers. I have also spoken to some of you and thank you for any emails which you have sent. In the evenings, I have been working on my Harry Potter puzzle and doing some colouring.

At the beginning of the week, I said about things which I was proud of. One of the things was my garden. I have added photos of my garden and some of the plants which I have been growing.

I have also been growing some salad. This week, I have planted out some radishes and cucumbers. Have you grown anything?

Do you have any plans for the weekend? I am hoping to do some reading. I had a couple of the Amelia Fang books delivered this week. Please email me any other book recommendations for something to read next.

I hope you all have a good weekend,

Mrs Collins

Thursday 18th June

Good morning Class 4C. How are you? I am fine and busy organising the tasks for next week's Home Learning.

Yesterday afternoon, I had a lovely chat with Mr Tinker, Miss Swan and Miss Smithson and had a staff meeting with Mrs Burrell and the other teachers. Have you spoken to anyone who doesn't live in your house this week? Remember you can email your friends, from our class on Purple Mash. Friendship is especially important at the moment and know some of you are missing your friends. Look at the videos and ideas in the PSHE folder on the website.

I hope you have a good day and manage to get outside at some point.

Mrs Collins

Wednesday 17th June

Good morning Class 4C. How are you? I am fine and have been busy completing school tasks. It has been lovely to talk to some of you this week and at the end of last week. If I haven't spoken to you recently, I will be calling tomorrow or Friday.

Well done to Lily-Mai for your video about what you are proud of. I liked seeing all the cakes and dishes that you have made.

Remember you can let me know the things you have done via the Home Learning email and Purple Mash.

One thing that I have been working on is a Harry Potter puzzle. It is quite tricky. I have also been working in my garden and hoping to redesign the bottom of it soon. Have you been working on any projects? Is there anything which you have done which has taken a few days or even weeks to complete? I have really enjoyed seeing my garden change and it makes me feel happy when I have achieved something. I wonder what my next project will be once I have finished my garden.

I hope you have a good day,

Mrs Collins

Monday 15th June

Good morning Class 4C. How are you? Did you have a good weekend?

I had a lovely weekend! I did some gardening, went for a walk around Tiptree Heath, started a new puzzle, chatted to my family on video calls and watched some of the Virtual Le Mans 24 hour race.

It is the start of Week 8 of the Summer Term and I know for most of you, you have been at home for a long time now. Home Learning may seem strange and I know that lots of you are missing your friends. I miss you all too! Remember you can contact your friends, using the Purple Mash email. An adult at school has to approve your email before it can be sent but this will usually be done on the same day. I would like you to keep putting in the effort, when completing your tasks and share with me what you have been doing.

This week, I would like you to choose a piece of work, activity or something from home that you have done that you are proud of and share it with me. You can do this via Purple Mash, Home Learning email, Twitter or when I phone you.

Have a good day,

Mrs Collins

Friday 12th June

Good morning Class 4C. How are you?

Well it is Friday again. I hope you have had a good week. I started my day with a walk. It was very quiet!

Last night, I took part in another quiz with my friends and one of the rounds had clues.

For example, 7 D in a W which was 7 days in a week.

Can you work out these?

  • 24 H in a D
  • 26 L in the A
  • 11 P in a FT
  • 6 H at WCS
  • 101 D
  • 21 D on a D

Have a go and I will reveal the answers next week. Can you write any of your own?

Have a good day and weekend,

Chat soon,

Mrs Collins

Thursday 11th June

Mrs Collins

Wednesday 10th June

Good morning Class 4C. How are you? I am fine and busy completing some school tasks. We have just had a virtual meeting with the staff at school and I have a teacher meeting later.

Tonight I am taking part in a quiz with my family and I have written a round all about things which are red.

Some of my questions are:

  • Name one place which can be found on a classic Monopoly board which is red.
  • How many Premier League football teams (2019/20 season) have red stripes for their Home shirt?
  • How many tablespoons of ketchup has the same nutritional value as a medium tomato?
  • True of false? The Central Line (in London) is the longest tube line.
  • How many red snooker balls are there on the table at the start of a game?

An optional challenge for today is: Choose a colour and see how many questions you could write about that colour.

Have a good day,

Mrs Collins

Tuesday 9th June

Good afternoon Class 4C. How are you? I hope you have had a good day. My day started off with a call to my family and a video of my nephew William chasing bubbles. He is 15 months now and it really made me smile. Also after lunch, I sat in my garden and relaxed, before going back to my school tasks. I am looking forward to chatting to the Year 4 teachers and LSAs this evening. We have a chat every Tuesday evening which is nice. I really miss seeing them. I miss you all too! Thank you to Holly, Alfie R, Lily-Mai, Toby and Ethan for my recent emails. Also well done to everyone who has completed a task on Purple Mash this week, plus Lily-Mai for your Home Learning which I saw via the school email.

Now, some of you may have noticed that I have shared some photos of my socks, such as at Easter and on VE day. I really like socks which are colourful and have lots of pictures or patterns on them. The ones below are a pair which I received for my birthday. My friends know I like patterned ones too! It got me thinking about if I could design a pair of socks, what I would put on them.

So if you could design a pair of socks, what would you put on them?

Let me know your designs.

Have a good rest of the day,

Mrs Collins

Monday 8th June

Good morning Class 4C. How are you?

I hope you had a good weekend and didn't get caught in the rain. I went for a walk yesterday and got caught in the rain for the last 5 minutes of it. Over the weekend, I completed another puzzle, baked and chatted to my family.

 I made a friend!

This arrived in the post. I am looking forward to reading it.

If you have any book recommendations, please email me on Purple Mash.

For PSHE, this week we are thinking about 'Embracing Our Differences'. There is a Power Point to look at and we would like you to chat with an adult at home. Also in the main Home Learning part on the website, under PSHE, Mrs Ball has recorded a video and included some things to watch.

Have a good day,

Chat soon,

Mrs Collins

Friday 5th June

Good morning Class 4C. Well it is Friday again. I hope you have had a good week. It is rather cloudy here in Chelmsford so I hope you are able to get outside at some point today and that it sunny at the weekend.

This morning I completed my puzzle. Did you guess from my clues that it is based on Harry Potter?

I really enjoyed completing this one. Normally when I do a puzzle I start with the edge but this time started with the interesting middle part. If you have read the books or know the stories, can you identify any key parts?

What are you going to do today? Do you have any plans for the weekend?

I am going to finish planning next week's tasks and organise some resources. I am also hoping to go on a long walk and gardening if the weather is OK.

Happy Birthday to Holly who is celebrating her birthday on Sunday!

Have a good day and weekend,

Chat soon,

Mrs Collins

Thursday 4th June

Good morning Class 4C. How are you today? I am really sorry that I did not update my diary yesterday but I had some problems with my internet connection. I ended up popping to school in the evening and sitting in my car near the gate and updating my laptop. I saw all the lovely portraits. They look amazing on the fence.

Yesterday, I spoke to Mr Tinker, Miss Swan and Miss Smithson which was nice. We are so proud with all your efforts at home and miss you all.

I have been busy doing some tasks for school and have had a couple of online staff meetings. I have also been doing a puzzle in the evenings. I will upload a photo once I have finished it. I will give you some clues now to see if you can guess what the puzzle might be about. It is based on a series of books and the author is one of our house teams.

I hope you have a good day today. It is a shame that it isn't as sunny but we have been very fortunate with all the lovely weather that we have had.

Chat soon,

Mrs Collins

Tuesday 2nd June

Good morning Class 4C. I hope you had a good day yesterday.

I know that some of you have been gardening and planted some different things. Last week, I received a Salad planting kit and last night I sewed the seeds. I must remember to water them and I hope they will grow. I will keep you updated on their progress.

I had a visitor to my garden whilst I was planting.

I can not believe that we are in June and the second half of the Summer Term. I know that it is still very different for everyone and you may be feeling all sorts of emotions. In the PSHE folder, in the main Home Learning page, there are some things to think about and Mrs Ball talks about Change. Change is something that can worry us, make us feel excited and nervous. Talking about it can help and over the next few weeks, we will be thinking about change, as we come to the end of the year. If you have any questions or worries, please do say and you can tell me when I phone you or via email.

I hope you have a good day,

Mrs Collins

Thursday 21st May

Good afternoon. I hope you have had a good day. It has been another hot one!! Remember it is OK to have a bit of a break from Home Learning and spend some time outside. Can you complete any of your tasks in your garden? Have you completed any of the Well Being activities? Speaking to some of you, you have been cooling off in your garden with different pools and enjoying ice-creams. I had an ice lolly yesterday which was very refreshing!

Today, Mr Collins went to a garden centre and bought lots of plants. Think my weekend will be helping him to plant them.

He bought some bird feed too! I really like the ones with the white flowers.

While I am writing this I am sitting in my study where I sometimes work. Do you have a work space? I think I need to put something on the wall as it is a bit plain. Can you spot a couple of things in the photos showing what I like?

I can not believe tomorrow is Friday and the end of the first half of the Summer Term. It has been a different half term and I think you are all amazing with what you have done and are doing. Thank you to all your adults at home for helping you.

Have a good evening,

Mrs Collins

Wednesday 20th May

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are having a good day. I enjoyed my walk this morning and have had a busy day with virtual meetings and report writing. Thank you for the emails on Purple Mash. Well done Alfie R for your animal creation and your diorama. They looked great! Thank you Harrison for the quiz that you sent me. I will have a go at the answers soon.

What have you done to be kind this week? Has someone done something for you which is kind? I would love to hear about it.

I organised a delivery of sweets for Mr Collins. It was a surprise and it made him smile! I have also spoken to my family and sent a few messages to some of my friends. Mr Collins has collected some things for me and I have received some lovely messages saying Hello.

Have a good rest of the afternoon and evening,

Mrs Collins

Tuesday 19th May

Good afternoon Class 4C. Sorry for the late diary entry today, I have been busy planning and completing School tasks. I have also had a chat with Mr Tinker, Miss Swan and Miss Smithson this afternoon which was great. I am looking forward to seeing the Year 4 teachers and LSAs tonight on our weekly meeting/catch up.

How are you all? What have you been up to today? I hope you have managed to have some time outside in the sunshine. I had a tea break earlier and liked sitting in my garden.

Have any of you tried any of Mrs Burrell's challenges recently? I liked yesterday's one with the magazine art. I wonder if you could create a rainforest picture using photos from a magazine.

Well done Isla on your Zentangle patterns! Also well done to Lily-Mai for your hard work yesterday! Your gingerbread biscuits looked yummy. Thank you to everyone who has emailed me on Purple Mash. I really enjoy reading them. If you are not sure how to email, type 2email in the search engine (once you have logged onto Purple Mash) and it should come up with where to email.

Have a good evening,

Mrs Collins

  My garden.

Monday 18th May

Good morning Class 4C. I hope you had a good weekend.

On Friday evening, I was inspired by Mrs Burrell's Food Friday and made S'mores for dessert. I shared them with Mr Collins and they were delicious! I also spoke to some friends which was lovely. On Saturday, I chatted to lots of my family via video calls and helped build a TV unit for my study. Yesterday, I went for a walk and completed some Zentangle patterns. I really enjoyed drawing them.

Thank you to some of you for your book recommendations. I am going to read some soon. If you have any ideas for books which I should read or crafts I could try, please let me know when I speak to you or via email.

Happy Monday,

Mrs Collins

Hello 4C, I hope you are all well and enjoying this lovely sunny weather we are very lucky to have.
You are probably like me and cannot believe that we have been off school for 8 weeks already, time has gone so fast!
I have quite enjoyed being at home spending time with my children and Bodie ( my puppy)
We have been going on some lovely long walks everyday which wear him out I think, also he likes to play with the football in the garden, it was my sons but Bodie has now chewed a bit of a hole in it.
I have been doing some learning online which has helped my brain to grow ( well, a little bit at least)
I’ve planted some flowers in my garden and am growing some mint and strawberries.
I’ve done a few kind deeds for people like writing each of my family a letter to tell them what they mean to me, send friends flowers, do some shopping, ordered afternoon tea to arrive at my parents house as a surprise.
Have you done anything to help anyone you know?
Take care, be safe.

From Mrs Latchford

Friday 15th May

Good morning. I can not believe it is Friday already. I enjoyed taking part in the quiz last night and chatting to Miss Smithson, Mrs Stock and Mrs Scrivener. Did you know that crocodiles can not stick out their tongues?

Below are the answers to my food questions from Monday:

1.Tomato

2. Haricot beans

3. An orchid

4. Saffron

5. Almonds

6. A prune

7. Peru - South America

Well done to Robyn for your fantastic rainforest picture! I love the toucan in the tree. Well done to Holly on your lovely self portrait! I wonder how many people will spot you when they walk past the fence at school. Well done Lily-Mai for baking those Apple cookies! They looked delicious.

Happy Birthday to Alfie E! I hope you have a good day tomorrow.

I hope you all have a good weekend,

Mrs Collins

Thursday 14th May

Good afternoon Class 4C. I hope you have had a good day.

I have been busy writing reports and had a lovely meeting with Mr Tinker, Miss Swan and Miss Smithson. We hope you are all well and having fun.

I have just seen Mrs Burrell's challenge about Zentangle drawings and patterns. They look really interesting and I might give some a try. Have you completed any? I also saw her video about origami. Do you remember trying to make those Christmas trees? You all tried so hard.

Well done to everyone who has shared their work on deforestation and rainforests. I have seen some fantastic artwork, videos and Power Point presentations. Next week, you will have an opportunity to make a diorama so start collecting some bits of recycling, if you can.

Tonight I am taking part in a quiz with Miss Smithson, Mrs Stock and Mrs Scrivener so I need to get my thinking cap on. My round is going to be about Food and Drink. Have you answered any of my questions from Monday yet?

Have a good rest of the day and evening,

Chat tomorrow,

Mrs Collins

Hello 4C!

I was very excited when Mrs Collins asked me to write a diary entry for you as I have missed seeing you all every day. Today I am planning a trip to a garden centre to buy some flowers for my garden! I enjoy being able to get outside in the sunshine and have particularly enjoyed my daily walks with my little dog Maisie. I thought I’d send you a picture of her! I hope that you are all keeping busy at home and enjoying spending time with your families. It’s a very different way of learning but I can see how hard you are working and producing some lovely work! I hope to see you all very soon and will try and write another diary entry for you soon. Take care everyone.

Wednesday 13th May

Good morning Class 4C, how are you today? As I am writing this, I am looking out at my garden. I wonder how much your has garden changed over the last few weeks. Has anything grown? The blossom has gone from my cherry tree but now I can see some fruit growing. When I go on my walks, I look out for changes too and yesterday I saw something for the very first time. I saw a Sparrowhawk, although I wasn't sure what it was until I checked in a book at home.

So what have you been doing this week? Last night I had a virtual chat with the Year 4 team and it was lovely to see all the teachers and LSAs from Year 4. I miss them, like I miss all of you. I had a lovely surprise in the post yesterday and it was a rainbow and card from Isla. Thank you Isla! I really enjoy chatting to all of you and also receiving your emails.

Tonight I am looking forward to chatting to some of my friends from when I was at university. I haven't seen or spoken to some of them for awhile so it will be great to catch up.

Have a good day and I am looking forward to speaking to you all soon,

Mrs Collins

Tuesday 12th May

Morning Class 4C. How are you today?

I am fine and am busy planning next week's Home Learning and completing some other school tasks. Last night I had a virtual WI meeting which was good. I learnt about a charity which help people with hearing loss and met a dog who helps the lady. WI is an acronym. Have any of you tried the Acronym Quiz which Miss Smithson designed?

It has been lovely to see some of your Home Learning tasks and I am looking forward to hearing about what else you have been doing. Remember when I phone it is to say Hi and hear about the fun things that you have been doing, not checking up on the work. If you have any questions for me, you can ask when I call or via Purple Mash.

Well done Emily on all the super activities you have been completing! I like you picture of the toucan and it looks like you have been gardening. Also what a great Deforestation video Lily-Mai! It was very informative and delivered so clearly. Well done Lauren J for entering the NHS banner competition!

I see that we had a birthday at the weekend. Happy Birthday Lauren S! I hope that you and Imogen had a good day.

I am so proud of all of you! Things at home are different and I am sure you are missing your friends and clubs.

I miss you all,

Have a good day,

Mrs Collins

Monday 11th May

Good morning. How are you today? Well it is Monday again and the start of another week. I hope you had a good weekend.

As some of you know, on a Sunday night I take part in a quiz with my friends. One of the rounds was about food and drink and it got me thinking. Are there are foods which you have missed since being at home? Has there been any foods which your adults can not get when they go shopping? From my phone calls, I have heard that lots of you are baking and cooking meals for your families, which is great. I have also been baking and cooking some new recipes. Have you tried any of Mrs Burrell's Food Friday recipes? Reading and following recipes is a good way to develop your reading skills and measuring and weighing ingredients is practical Maths in action. You could also copy out your favourite recipe and illustrate it. I would love to hear what you have been baking, cooking or if there is something new which you have tried. Let me know via Purple Mash or the Home Learning email.

Now some questions to consider:

  • What is the most popular soup in the UK?
  • What type of beans are used for Baked Beans?
  • What plant does vanilla come from?
  • Which is the most expensive spice in the world by weight?
  • What type of nut is used in marzipan?
  • A dried plum is properly known as a ...?
  • From which country do potatoes originate?

Have a go and I will share the answers on Friday,

Have a good day,

Mrs Collins

My Weekend

Hi Class 4C, I hope you have had a good weekend.

My weekend started with a walk and I hoped to see the Red Arrows, however they didn't fly over Chelmsford (well where I was). I then had a video call with my family and it was lovely to see my nephew William playing with his toys. I also had a video call with my other nephews Edward and Max and saw a castle that they had made. During the weekend, I made my own flag and bunting, which I put in the window, and whilst I had some of the craft bits out I made a rainbow. I have also done some baking and Mr Collins said the cakes were delicious. As part of the VE Day celebrations and remembrance, I watched some programmes on the TV and found what the veterans and their families had to say very interesting.

What did you do?

Thursday 7th May

Good afternoon Class 4C, I hope you are having a good day. Well done Lily-Mai on your hard work yesterday! It was lovely to hear that you have been practising your spellings and times tables. Also well done to Alfie R on his NHS competition poster. I will forward it to the competition organiser once I have had a few more entries.

In response to my question 'What is a Mountain Chicken?' It is a frog. It can be found in the Caribbean and also known as a giant ditch frog. What did you think it was?

Tomorrow is VE Day. There are activities on the school website for things to do, if you would like.

Also have you tried any of the Well Being May activities? I would like to hear and see what you have been doing. Remember you can email me on Purple Mash, email the Home Learning email or tweet on Twitter.

Have a good weekend, as tomorrow is a bank holiday,

Mrs Collins

Wednesday 6th May

Good morning. How are you all? Well I have just done a virtual Show and Tell with some of the teachers, LSAs and Mid-days from school. It was lovely to see everyone. I shared the Code Breaker book which I have been completing and talked about the baking that I have done. What have you done so far this week?

Well done Yhana, on your fantastic paintings which you have completed! Well done Alfie R, for your medals which you made and the superhero poster! Seeing what you have done and hearing about it when I call you really makes me smile. smiley

I hope you all have a good day,

Mrs Collins

Tuesday 5th May

Hi, how are you? I hope you had a good day yesterday. I did some online training about Maths yesterday afternoon. Even as an adult I am still learning. Did any of you find out what a Mountain Chicken is? I have decided to reveal the answer at the end of the week.

This morning, I have done a short video about something you can do with sweets and water. Have a watch and see what you can create.

The sun is shining this morning, so I hope you can enjoy being outside at some point today.

Have a good day,

Mrs Collins

Monday 4th May

Good morning Class 4C! It is lovely to see the sun shining this morning. I hope you all had a good weekend.

Like Mr Tinker, I also took part in a quiz over the weekend, with my friends.

One questions was 'What living thing is a Mountain Chicken?'

Do you know what it is? Can you have a guess or find it out? What is it also called? Where can you find it?

At weekend, I also completed Mrs Burrell's Thursday challenge and drew a self portrait. I posted it this morning so look at for it if you walk past school. Have you completed it?

On the main Home Learning page there are two folders called PSHE and Well Being May. Have a look in them for some ideas of things you can do at home. Have you seen any of the things from the Well Being May calendar? See if you can complete some. Another topic mentioned is 'Everyday Heroes'. What makes an Everyday Hero? What is your Everyday power?

Well done Holly for your super painting of a leopard! I am looking forward to seeing and hearing about what you have all been doing this week.

I hope you have a good day,

Mrs Collins
