Innovating ‘The Enormous Turnip’ Story

Today we are continuing to innovate ‘The Enormous Turnip’ story. Look at the text, can you write the name of your chosen vegetable in the spaces on your worksheet? Ask an adult to read the story and insert your chosen vegetable name instead of ‘turnip’! Perhaps you may be able to retell the story yourself and replace ‘turnip’ for your chosen vegetable.
How many times is the vegetable name written within the story? Remember some of the vegetable names are tricky to write. Phonetic attempts are absolutely fine! :)
Once completed, phone a friend in the class to retell them your story. Can you listen to each other carefully?
*Time Challenge* - how many times can you write the name of your vegetable in one minute? Remember to try to write in the cursive style!
