Describing the characters from the story ‘The Gruffalo’.

Can you retell the story of 'The Gruffalo'? How many of our actions can you remember?
Can you think of a descriptive word for each of the other characters within the story of 'The Gruffalo'?
Think about each of their personalities and appearances to help you.

Draw around your shoes on two pieces of paper, then, cut the foot prints out (or you could just use your feet!)
Estimate how many of your feet it will take to get to the other side of the room.
Then, check your answer - use the footprints to measure the length of the rooms in your house.

Which descriptive words could you use to describe Mrs Goodwin’s dinosaurs?
This afternoon, can you match the written descriptions of the dinosaurs to the dinosaur pictures?
When reading the sentences, add sound buttons underneath the words to aid your segmenting and blending. Take care with the sight words which cannot be sounded out. Which dinosaur picture is the sentence describing? Cut out the sentences and pictures and stick or place them next to each other after you have matched them.
