Wanted Poster - Describing the Gruffalo.

Can you retell the story of 'The Gruffalo'? How many of our actions can you remember?
Have you seen the Gruffalo?
Create a wanted poster to find the Gruffalo. Using yesterday's descriptive language, write three sentences to describe the Gruffalo.
When writing, remember to use...
*A capital letter at the beginning of each sentence.
*Finger spaces between words.
*A full stop at the end of each sentence.
*Use your listening ears carefully to listen to the sounds that you can hear within each word. Write these sounds down in your neatest cursive handwriting. In Foundation Stage, we expect spelling to be phonetic rather than accurate. Children will be at different stages with how many sounds they can can hear within a word. Some will be able to hear the initial sound, some will also be able to hear the final sound and some will also be able to hear the sound or sounds within the middle of words. It is important children make independent attempts to write.

Estimating and capacity through water play
How many cups will it take to fill up a jug?
How many spoons will it take to fill up a cup?
How many buckets would you need to fill up the bath?
Will you need more or less cups to fill up the next jug?
Which jug will hold more water?
Which cup will hold less water?
You could spend the session making potions, we love doing that in the classroom (using food colouring, glitter, anything!)
