In today’s Literacy lesson we are looking at where the digraph ‘ur’ appears in our story and practicing writing words with ‘ur’ in.
We are going to complete the missing words in our story, practice our fine motor skills by cutting out a turnip and then fill the turnip with our digraph 'ur'. You could do one big 'ur' or lots of smaller ones.
Our challenge today is to complete the words by adding the digraph 'ur'. Can you then segment and blend the word to discover what the words are?
Our final challenge to you is for you to have a go at writing your own words that contain the 'ur' digraph!
Activities for 'ur'
We are continuing to look at the letter ‘l’ today, you will need to watch the short video then you can complete the worksheet added below. If you don’t have a printer to print the ‘l’ worksheet you can practice writing ‘l’ on some lined or plain paper.
